Do you schedule tours of the venues?

We truly believe that the best way to understand 632 on Hudson and how events unfold here is to have an in-person tour. Please get in touch with us to schedule an appointment. We would be more than delighted to show you around.

 What is included in the rental fee?

The Triplex and The Speakeasy are fully furnished and decorated, and the rental fee includes all furnishings and décor.  All additional rentals including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, plates, silverware are brought in by our

exclusive rental company (Smith Party Rental) at the discretion of the chosen caterer.  You can find our contact list for caterers on our Preferred Vendors page.

 Can I bring in an outside caterer?

Under normal circumstances, caterers hired to service events at 632 on Hudson must be chosen from our list of preferred caterers. However, for religious and other dietary restrictions, we will certainly consider welcoming another licensed and insured caterer.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

As a licensed catering hall, all alcohol by law must be delivered to and provided by the venue.

Who provides and arranges delivery of the dinner tables, chairs, linens, dishware, etc.?

The caterer you choose (see vendors page) will coordinate the ordering and delivery of all additional tables, chairs, linens, dishware, etc.

Can furniture be removed or moved?

Furniture can be moved by the catering team but only under the auspices of the 632 on Hudson event manager.

 Can I come to see the venue several times?

Yes, once the space is booked, we allow up to five visits/walk-throughs to accommodate caterers and other vendors, such as DJs, photographers, florists, etc.

 How long is the rental period?

All weddings are a twelve-hour rental from setup to cleanup.  Other rental periods vary between eight and twelve hours, depending on the event.

What about DJs, musicians, photo booths, and florists?

All outside vendors must be insured and abide by the Venue’s requirements.  Please note that we do offer flower & candle packages that incorporate the various curated objects and vases that are an integral part of the venue. These objects are not available for use by outside vendors.

Is there a tax on the rental fee?

All taxes are included in the Venue rental fee.

Are there any additional costs besides the rental fee?

The rental fee includes furnishings and décor, sound system, audiovisual equipment, and WiFi. The rental fee is tax inclusive as well. The only other fees associated with the Venue rental is for security personnel and an administration fee. The administration fee is 5% of the rental fee. The security team is elegant, polite, discreet, and professional. 

I have some guests for whom the stairs would be a problem, is there an elevator?

Yes, there is a small elevator and a staff member will escort any guests who need assistance.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

No. 632onhudson has a catering hall liquor license and by law, it is required that all alcohol served at the event must be provided through the venue.

 For couples getting married:  Is there a place to get ready and/or take photos before the guests arrive?

The couple will have access to the Venue at the start of the twelve-hour rental period and though the house will be bustling with set-up, there are two private areas that can be used for the couple. The fourth floor Salon, complete with two bathrooms, is a perfect place to get ready, as is the third floor “Shanghai Den”.

Is there a coat check person?

The caterer provides the coat rack, hangers, and coat check attendant and it is typically located in the lower level with the attendant greeting guests at the door and checking their belongings.

Who is responsible for cleaning the space?

632 on Hudson delivers the Venue in pristine condition.  It is the caterer’s responsibility to leave the Venue in broom clean condition with all garbage and recycling removed at the end of the event as per the caterer’s requirements.  The client is not responsible for cleaning.

 Is there a sound system?

Yes, there are high-quality, professional-grade sound systems in each of our venues.

 How late can my event last?

Our liquor license stipulates that music must be turned off at midnight.  There can be music at “background level” as guests are slowly departing.  The Speakeasy allows for guests to stay until 1AM.

Is smoking permitted?

It is absolutely prohibited to have smoking of any kind or vaping anywhere in the venue including the roof. Smoking is only permitted in front of the building and the security staff will provide an appropriate receptacle for ashes. 

 What payment methods do you accept?

We accept checks (personal, and certified) as well as bank transfers.  We also accept credit cards but the client would be responsible for covering the associated fees.
